Renew the existing terrazzo
The aim was to improve the condition, consistency and presentation of the existing surfaces while retaining as much of the original terrazzo as practicable.
The work covered worn flooring, landings, stair surfaces and associated terrazzo perimeter sections. Visible cracks and surface imperfections were assessed before suitable areas were repaired and prepared for polishing.
From preparation to the final finish

Assess & repair
Inspect the existing terrazzo and repair suitable visible cracks and damaged sections before final finishing.
- 02
Grind & refine
Mechanically grind surface wear, marks and local unevenness, then progressively refine the terrazzo with diamond systems.
- 03
Finish the details
Carry out detailed work to stair treads, edges and perimeter surfaces that the main floor machine cannot reach.
- 04
Clean & present
Remove process residue and complete final cleaning of the floors, landings, stairs and surrounding terrazzo.
A cleaner, smoother, more consistent finish
The treated surfaces were restored to a more uniform appearance. Suitable cracked and worn areas were repaired, and grinding and progressive polishing improved the finish while preserving the character of the existing terrazzo.
